Park Features

Charters Towers Tourist Park is a lovely quiet, shady, clean and green park with one of the main features being the wide variety of native birds found here. Over the years there has been an ongoing program of planting native trees and shrubs which has increased the varieties of birds which provide hours of enjoyment for those interested in bird watching and everyone may enjoy the various delightful calls heard from our feathered friends throughout the Park. Birds in their natural environment are such a pleasure to listen to and are very relaxing is such a quiet environment.

Internet Access

Keeping in touch with friends, relatives or work is no longer a problem here at Charters Towers Tourist Park. For those travelling with their own computer we have wireless internet coverage to the whole of our park. Just ask at reception for details on how to gain access. If you are not travelling with a computer then we have thought of you also and installed a kiosk in reception just for you. Please enquire at reception to use this facility. | |

Shop/Kiosk

We have a well appointed shop with most things available which are commonly run out of or forgotten. So never fear just pop in and see if we have what you require. We have Bread delivered fresh daily except Sundays. Papers are delivered every day, Milk, Ice Cold drinks, Postcards, Souvenirs and many grocery lines. | |

Swimming pool /spa
We have a great swimming pool/spa to cool and relax you after a long day of travelling. Or if preferred sit on the side of the pool with a nice book whilst dangling your feet over the edge, relax and let the cool water wash away your day’s stresses.

Book Exchange
Here at Charters Towers Tourist Park we understand that many of you enjoy a good book to read during time out from your busy sightseeing schedule. So we have an extensive book exchange library which works on a one for one basis. We only exchange quality novels though, which are in good condition. | |

Camp Kitchen

We have a fully equipped camp kitchen which includes a Fridge, Microwave, Hot Plates, BBQ, Tables, Chairs and washing up facilities. During the winter months from May meet fellow travellers every evening at our "Happy Hour" held in the Camp Kitchen whilst you are entertained by profession Bush Poet Neil McArthur.
We also hold dinners in our camp kitchen some evenings in support of local community groups. To find out what is on please check with reception.

Laundry
Our laundry has been fully refurbished & is spotlessly clean. We have three lovely front loading washing machines and a dryer which are coin operated. There is an ironing board in the laundry with an iron available from reception for use free of charge. |
